Weekend Recap: 9/25 – 9/27

Topping the weekly recap for this weekend is the third straight win for GridIronPicks.com on Monday Night. With a correct pick of Dallas last night, GridIronPicks.com is 3-0 on the season and 16-3 (85.2%) in combined 2003 and 2004 Monday Night games.

Recapping the College games on Saturday, we went off on another 3-1 weekend. On the winning side, we had Michigan State -3 v. Indiana, Notre Dame -11 v. Washington, and Rice +32 v. Texas. Our lone losing game was Texas Tech -6.5 v. Kansas.

On the NFL card, we suffered another 2-2 weekend. Our winning picks for Philly -4.5 v. Detroit and Indianapolis -6 v. Green Bay were easy winners. The Jacksonville defense gave us a loss with Tennessee -6 and Minnesota’s Monday Night hangover allowed the Bears to sneak in and break up of Vikes -9 selection.

Weekend Recap: 9/18 – 9/21

GridIronPicks.com continued there winning ways in college football and Monday Night Football. But battled against a even record on the Sunday NFL games.

With four picks on the record for Saturday, we saw 2 wins, a loss and a push (which is dropped from our overall record). Iowa State (-2.5) fought back in the fourth quarter against Northern Illinois to give us a win. Notre Dame (-3) continues to recover from their humiliating defeat at BYU and gives us our second win on the day. Kansas (+3) gave up late touchdown after a fourth quarter rally to earn a push. Our lone loss came in the Hawaii (-1) shootout with Rice.

Sunday games in the NFL saw two losses on games that easily should have gone the other way, Denver -3 at Jacksonville and Kansas City -6 at home against Carolina. However the day wasn’t an entire loss with wins posted in the Dallas -4 at home against Cleveland and Baltimore -4 at home against Pittsburgh. While a 2-2 day isn’t a total loss, it is a negative unit day. We are quite confident that it is an isolated incident.

The biggest news for GridIronPicks.com is the continuation of our winning record on Monday Night Football. Our selection last night was Philadelphia -4.5, giving us a 2-0 record on the year and 15-3 going back to the start of the 2003 season.

Weekend Recap – 9/11 – 9/13

Week 3 in college football and Week 1 in the NFL continue the winning ways for GridIronPicks.com and our premium subscribers. With a 3-1 record for both the NFL and college ranks, our first win of the season on Monday Night Football and an impressive weekend with our free selections, we brought home the money.

In College we posted Wins with Iowa State +24.5 v. Iowa, Utah -14.5 v. Arizona and Arizona State -1.5 v. Northwestern. Our lone loss came with Nebraska in their turn-over riddled loss to the Golden Eagles of Southern Mississippi.

Turning to the NFL, we nailed strong wins with Minneapolis -4 at home v. Dallas, the upset of Houston by San Diego +4.5, and the Titans -3 at Miami. The Raven’s disappointing showing against the Browns, led by Jeff Garcia, handed us our only Sunday loss.

GridIronPicks.com starts out their guaranteed winners on Monday Night with a solid pick on Green Bay +3 v. Carolina.

In addition to total premium pick record of 7-2, we gave away a total of 7 free winners on the the weekend, posting a 7-3 record from Thursday night through Sunday, including hinting at the Fresno State upset of Kansas State. Three of the seven free winning picks were email newsletter exclusives.

Weekend Recap – 9/4/04

Our college football betting season starts off with a bang. We had four premium selections this past weekend and hit on 3 of the 4.

First up we had a slam dunk win on the Cal v. Air Force game taking Cal -14. After the second quarter, this game wasn’t even close as Cal scores 35 points in the second half to win 56-14.

Next on the ticket was Oregon St. v. LSU with our money on Oregon St. +17.5. While the weather conspired with us ensure this game would be close and low-scoring, we knew LSU would have problems moving the ball on dry grass anyway. Our projections had this game at 11 point differential, we were mildly surprised at a the 1 point finish.

Our third win of the day came with Oklahoma State +1/pk in their match-up with UCLA. We predicted this game would come down to attitude and who had more to prove. Despite the Cowboy’s apparent poor conditioning and sloppy execution, they were out to make a statement in the Big-12 South, and held on to win outright 31-20.

The lone loss on our ticket was with our money on Cincinnati +15.5 v. Ohio State. We had and still have questions about the Buckeye’s offense, but their defense showed that they will be able to carry them through in tight games.

College Premium Picks: 3-1 on the season.
