We’ve been suffering through some dog days of baseball the last week or so. At this date, this is the worst run of baseball we have seen in over 7 years, but there is still plenty of time left to get things back on track.

Over the last week, we’ve been getting hammered on late inning losses. Starting today, we are taking a step back from our typical analysis and trying some new things – mainly weighting bullpen production a bit higher than we have before and narrowing our window of statistical analysis to put more weight on recent on trends and streaks.

These changes represent a significant adjustment from our methodology, so you may want to observe for a few days and see how things go.
